Mediation Services

Word Discover and a Red Phone

Discovery Call (15–20 Minutes)

The Discovery Call is a complimentary introductory conversation designed to help determine whether mediation or conflict resolution services are the right fit for your situation.

During this brief call, we will discuss:

  • The nature of the conflict or concern

  • The individuals or parties involved

  • The current status of communication and relationships

  • Each party's willingness to participate in a facilitated process

  • Your goals and desired outcomes

  • Whether your situation aligns with the services offered by Inspiring Resolution

  • PRICING IS CUSTOMIZED TO YOUR NEEDS

The Discovery Call is not a mediation session and does not involve problem-solving or decision-making. Its purpose is to gather preliminary information, answer questions about the process, and determine the most appropriate next steps.

Our Approach to Mediation

Carrie-Lynn Hotson CHRL

Inspiring Resolution Mediation Services specializes in resolving various conflicts, from family disagreements to workplace issues. Carrie-Lynn Hotson is a trained in interest based mediation and conflict resolution.

"I'm not a lawyer and I don't handle matters that are before the courts. I help people have the conversations they're struggling to have on their own. Whether it's siblings disagreeing about an aging parent, neighbours in conflict, or workplace teams struggling to work together, I provide a neutral process that helps people communicate, understand each other, and move forward."

VISH is at the CENTER of the Storm

While people often focus on the issues they are arguing about, the root of many conflicts can be traced to an unmet need to feel VALUED, INSPIRED, SUPPORTED, or HEARD. At Inspiring Resolution Mediation Services I use principles from my book VISH: Value, Inspire, Support and Hear to help participants move beyond their positions and explore the underlying needs that drive the conflict. Encouraging people to HEAR each other, allows for the creation of understanding and RESOLUTION of the root issues.

I really appreciate your consultation and guidance and have learned a great deal from you.  I have recommended your services and books to other organizations and hope we get a chance to work together again.

We had a very positive experience working with Carrie-Lynn. She was professional,  knowledgeable, and extremely helpful throughout the entire process. She took time to listen to everyone's concerns, explained everything clearly, and helped guide us toward a fair resolution. Her calm and respectful approach made a difficult situation much easier to navigate. I highly recommend her services to anyone looking for a skilled and compassionate mediator.

Thank you for mediating our neighbour dispute. Things are working much better now, and we have come up with a plan moving forward. We were quite nervous to attend, but you made it a very comfortable and safe process.
